The designs for these pewter wall crosses are first etched or carved, and then a rubber mold is made for casting. Molten pewter, at a temperature of 450 – 580 degrees Fahrenheit, is ladled into the rubber mold in a centrifugal casting machine. When the casting has cooled, each piece is cut from the cast and then uniquely aged. Finally, each piece is individually hand finished. Because they don’t tarnish you’ll find their reflective softness of color and affordable elegance even more appealing.
